MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
What an amazing week. We finished nailing down the last shingles as the sun was setting tonight, loaded the trailer then gathered on Billy's brand-new porch to pray blessings over his new home. What a way to start the New Year.
We have truly experienced God's grace this week. No accidents. Daily wisdom in choosing tasks and gathering teams. Plenty of wonderful meals. Fabulous southern hospitality from Gulfhaven Church. Several mornings this week we read Psalms 127 together - "If God doesn't build the house, the builders only build shacks. If God doesn't guard the city, the night watchman might as well nap. It's useless to rise early and go to bed late, and work your worried fingers to the bone. Don't you know he enjoys giving rest to those he loves?" This week, together, we saw God build a house. What a privilege and a joy!
Tonight after a fabulous catfish feast at Shaw's, we gathered together to celebrate God's goodness. Several folks from Gulfhaven Church shared how encouraged their hearts and spirits were this week to know that others are still thinking about them and love them enough to partner in a project like this. It is an awesome work of God that some go, some send and we all can celebrate what God has done. Thank you for your partnership with us this week.
Please continue to pray for safety as the team travels home this weekend and rest for our tired bodies! Pray for Billy and his extended family that the Word will take root and bear much fruit in their lives.
Blessings on this New Year's Day!
