Dear Friends,

How is reading through the Bible going for you? This week felt like a lot of moving around which can be a little confusing at times. One of the things about the history of Israel that isn’t always clear is that they split into two kingdoms following the death of Solomon. We are currently reading about the choices made by many of the kings and prophets that led Israel. It is clear that some of their choices were better than others!

It seems that each king followed a common thread during their reign. They had to decide which god to worship, who they listened to, and what legacy they were leaving. Some kings were wiser than others. These are questions we can ask ourselves as well. Who do we worship? Who do we listen to? What legacies are we leaving?

Join us Sunday as we dig a little deeper in to the history of Israel. I’m looking forward to seeing you then!

Shelley
