Last Sunday was a very different "Sunday" from the usual service, as we had a Concert of Worship. It had 4 main pieces to it, that made up the word A.C.T.S.
We worshipped with song, through prayer, reading God's Word, taking communion, giving tithes and offerings, and through writing. There was no "message," just a short challenge/thought from Romans 12:1.
The great thing about A.C.T.S. is we can apply it to our every day lives to worship our Master, Jesus.
Adoration
Adoration is adoring God for who he is, telling him how great he is, thinking of His grace and mercy, his love for us. Each day we can spend time adoring God.
Confession
By confessing, we tell God the places we've messed up, get our hearts right with him. Ask for forgiveness through repentance, turning from our sin. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sin and cleanse us from unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9)
Thanksgiving
Through thanksgiving, we can thank God for who he is, thank Him for what he has done for us, answered our prayers, provided things for us. Thank God each day through prayer, writing, reading some of the Psalms.
Supplication
This is where we "ask" god with humble petition. What is it that you need? Peace, love, a job? Spend time each day letting God know what you need, be expectant for it, ready to thank Him when we does answer in His perfect timing!
Here are the two videos we watched last Sunday (12/27):
Let's worship!
